Purchase and installation of a sign to enhance the visibility and identity of The Knob scenic overlook park. Currently lacking a clear marker, the project involves installing a distinctive sign to signify the location and highlight its panoramic views of the Pocono Mountains.

Installation of a security/access gate at the newly constructed Little Mexico Trailhead, providing enhanced public access to the Big Woods Natural Area. It's a vital step in conserving the natural beauty and ecological integrity of the Big Woods!

This project will not only enhance community access to natural spaces but also ensure conservation and protection of the area. It serves as a model for responsible environmental stewardship and community engagement.

Purchase one bear-proof, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant trash/recycling receptacle for the new Marshalls Falls Park.

In an effort to keep the new park, and ultimately Marshalls Creek itself cleaner and simultaneously to protect local fauna, the Township wishes to purchase one BearSaver HA series double trash enclosures.

Installation of new signage in the parking lot at Resica Falls Boy Scout Reservation to direct hikers to the public access trails on the property. Signage will include directional signs in the parking area to direct visitors toward the trails and away from the camping area, signage along the trail to direct visitors along the trails, indicate the boundaries of the public areas, and alert hikers about primitive stream crossings.

Additionally, the Township proposes to install new trail blazes, following the Boy Scouts’ existing trail color system – Yellow, Silver, and Red/Silver – to better mark the trails that are open to the public. The project will also include painting a pedestrian walkway from the parking area to the trailhead.

Provide an outdoor overhaul at the Day Street Community Center with a new picnic patio, new native plant gardens and the replanting of existing beds with native plants. Day Street Community Center, the access point for the community to utilize our system of 26 parks and trails in the Stroud Region (and SROSRC administrative space), is getting an outdoor overhaul.

The existing back parking area will be converted to a picnic patio with new native plant gardens constructed to delineate the patio from parking/automobile areas. The existing planting beds in front of the community center will also be replanted with natives.
