  • The Buck Hill Conservation Foundation - $4,800

    Chestnut Mountain Observation Area, a 479-acre conserved open space in Monroe County featuring more than six miles of forested trails open to the public.

    This project will create level observation areas using natural materials, complete with railings and informational signage highlighting:

    • The geological history of the Pocono Mountains and its earliest inhabitants, beginning with the Lenni Lenape
    • A panoramic map featuring local landmarks
    • Recent logging activity on Chestnut Mountain and the Foundation’s restoration efforts
